发信人: dangco (dangco), 信区: JobHunting 标  题: 关于OPT挂靠方法说明 发信站: BBS 未名空间站 (Tue Dec  6 11:19:47 2011, 美东) 看到很多同学问，我也就发一下我了解的结果，后面的同学可以参考。当然更加权威的 回答，请咨询你们学校International Student Office（ISO）。 说明： 我有一个同学做过类似的事情，他去年找了外面一个朋友开的公司挂靠，后来成功转成 H1B。所以验证了方法有效。我也咨询了我们学校ISO。 具体步骤: 第一步： 我们需要了解ISO需要什么东西。 我咨询我们学校(PSU ISO)的结果是：（其它学校应该也差不多） 我们学校ISO需要你自己在ISO网站上填一个表格，说明你的“雇主姓名，雇主联系方式 ，工作开始时间，工作结束时间，工作地点，工作内容”，基本上每个一句话就可以了。 当然这个工作要和你的所学专业有相关性，至于怎么相关，我也和ISO的officer讨论过 ，他说你自己把握，因为专业太多，ISO无法判断，原则上只要你认为移民局不会找你 麻烦就好。 第二步： 你需要从雇主处拿到一个正式工作offer letter。这个offer letter你不需要给ISO， 你需要自己保存，以防移民局查你。我可能请外面的一个开公司的朋友给我挂靠，以这 个为例。我问我们学校ISO的结果是： 我朋友需要出具一个带有公司title的信件。（最好是正式信件） 这个信件内容很简单。就是4-5行。（1/4页） “雇主姓名， 雇主联系方式 工作开始时间 结束时间 工作地点 工作内容：” 每个一句话。 针对找原来学校实验室老板挂靠的情况，我的建议：（请具体咨询你们学校ISO） 让你老板也给你写一封类似上面的offer letter。或者你写好，让你老板找个带你们系 的title的纸打印出来。签个字。（你也可以找你们系的小蜜帮你打印，他那儿肯定有 纸，老板再签个字）。

OPT挂靠实际上是 OPT开始后三个月内找不到工作的同学防止身份过期，被迫回国提供 帮助，有效期为一年，任何专业,并非仅限STEM(Science/Technology/Engineering/ Mathmatics)，都可挂靠，该公司业务范围必须与该学生所学专业相关，所以为什么 consulting firm 最容易做挂靠。 OPT延期是OPT12个月结束后专门为STEM专业再延长１７个月的实习机会，仅限STEM专业 ，并且延期期间必须是payed position, 至少２０个小时／周，雇主必须为该学生缴纳 三税，所以收费比挂靠相对来说贵。
