How to Setup a Raspberry Pi Nextcloud Server

As time goes on the protection of your own privacy with 3rd party companies becomes harder and harder. This is where software like Nextcloud comes in hand, as it gives you full control over your files with no 3rd party controller. It is important to remember that since your data will be stored on your local network you will end up using a lot of bandwidth when uploading and downloading files from outside your local network. If your internet connection is not great then you may not get the best experience if you plan on using it outside your local network. If this looks familiar then that’s because it likely is, Nextcloud is an actively maintained fork of the owncloud software that I have previously covered . Verify your download with CHECKSUM files.

Once you have downloaded an image, verify it for security and integrity. To verify your image, start by downloading the proper CHECKSUM file into the same directory as the image you downloaded. Then follow three easy steps. First, import Fedora's GPG key(s): $ curl https://getfedora.org/static/fedora.gpg | gpg --import Note that you can verify the details of these keys below. Now, verify that the CHECKSUM file is valid: $ gpg --verify-files *-CHECKSUM The CHECKSUM file should have a good signature from one of the keys described below. Lastly, check that your download's checksum matches: $ sha256sum -c *-CHECKSUM If the output states that the file is valid, then it's ready to use! I have around 100k in a HYSA. This is partially in case I want to put a down payment on a house and some for an emergency fund. Also for major purchases in general so I can continue to max contributions to all three accounts without interruption. I've considered investing this but I feel by not investing it it guarantees I won't end up needing to take out money from retirement accounts or stop contributions in an emergency or life changing event. The retirement fund in my 401k has an expense ratio of .3. I max out 401k and I did the math and found over 25-30 years it would add up to over 90 thousand dollars of expenses so
