When does EVUS expire?

When you enroll for an EVUS, the registration will be valid for 2 consecutive years or until your visa or passport expire. Once you receive your EVUS you will be able to travel to the United States as often as you like over the two year span.
It’s important to bear in mind that if your passport or visa which are both electronically linked to your EVUS, expire you will have to renew your EVUS Visa update. If you do not have an EVUS you will not be able to travel to the United States.

How do you know if your EVUS has expired?

All individuals that submit an EVUS application can check their status using the enrollment number directly associated with the application. This unique number will be immediately assigned to you once you start the application process. By checking your status you can retrieve your EVUS expiration date.
Renewing the EVUS is simple and should take no longer than 20 minutes. Remember to apply at least 72-hours before your departure to ensure your application is processed correctly. While most applicants receive a notification within minutes some applications take longer to be reviewed. Your passport and visa should be current too.

A valid EVUS is a strict requirement

The EVUS is a prerequisite under the U.S. Immigration Law if you chose to visit the United States. The Electronic Visa Update System, EVUS, determines eligibility to travel to the United States for business or leisure for a limited period of time. Those who apply should have a 10-year U.S. visitor Visa: B1, B2, or a combined B1 and B2. All travelers, including children, must apply for an EVUS.
