· sleep in (sleep later than usual in the morning): I love to sleep in on Sunday mornings.
· sleep with one eye open (not sleep properly because you think something might happen): She slept with one eye open because she thought the baby might wake up.
· let sleeping dogs lie (keep quiet about something so that a situation doesn't get worse): Don't mention his divorce! Let sleeping dogs lie!
· put someone to sleep (cause someone to fall asleep): The food and the warm room put her to sleep.
