Wish三年(转载)

 
好了开始讲故事,我只能从我的角度谈一谈整个时间线,所以可能有些不全面,大家当看个乐。

我19年加入Wish,那时候公司进入增长期,完成融资,疯狂招人。靠着比FLAG多20%-30%工资吸引了很多质量不错的员工。

20年疫情开始,因为众多公司因为covid调整策略,减少广告投放,使得Wish广告疯狂
增长,revenue也跟着涨起来了。

好景不长,大多数公司经过调整,开始回到正轨,此时Wish的领导层为了上市,只能砸更多的钱维持revenue增长,以推动年底的上市。

20年年底,靠着加大dynamic price力度和广告力度,做了一份好的财报成功上市。悲
剧从这里开始。

21年第一季度财报出来,被投资人看出来这用户不增长,靠广告投放和杀熟来的赚钱,加上大量的广告投放导致亏损,股价暴跌。

领导层跑的跑,开的开。然后工资重金挖了一个Chief Chair来重整公司。

这个大佬上来一个骚操作,招了一个2年美本毕业,学历史的小哥,来当VP of
Business Operations,然后说需要给领导层新鲜的血液。

之后这个小哥被挖出爸妈都是高盛早年员工,爸爸更是高盛合伙人级别的大佬。Golden child导致大佬画的饼瞬间糊上了粑粑。

此时,又一波骚操作招来了,新的CEO,一个毫无湾区科技公司背景的人,上来就要砍
掉一些不行的项目。

按照湾区的管理,砍项目不砍普通员工,但新CEO不管,连入职5个月的eng都被波及。

不仅如此,CEO表示不理解你们湾区eng凭什么值这么多钱,我们砍砍refresher?

好吧,本身就被股票暴跌波及的员工工资倒挂,加上各大科技公司疯狂砸钱招人。从
junior到 staff,到VP纷纷跑路。工作一度无法开展。

短短三年时间经历了一个公司从增长到上市到崩塌,虽然股票不值钱了,但还是觉得学到了很多东西(含泪微笑)。

兵怂怂一个,将怂怂一窝。一个不懂管理的管理层,真的是毒瘤。
