来得到一些帮助(coaching/support)。我问经理 这个是PIP吗 经理说不是 是自愿联系ERBP得到帮助
我也是很大条 + PIP小白 + 自以为做了很多贡献 就没把这个当个事儿
想问大家
1. Meta 是不是要两个“meet some” 才进PIP (我上个half MA)
2. 经理让我自己联系ERBP 是提前暗示我要进PIP吗. ----
3. Meta PIP 的流程是什么 PIP 多长时间 能请medical leave 吗 什么时候申请medical leave
4. 我被告知 improvement area 是XFN communications（曾经和TPM争吵）。 进PIP的话 是上些课程？还是其他东西？
5. 基于现在meta 的状况，我还能抱多大幻想 从PIP出来 留在meta

ReplyDeleteNo. Back in the days with 2 PSCs, usually 2 MM = pip and 1 MS = pip/fired. However, you do not need MM/MS to get pip, if your manager think you are underperforming and not improving, you can get pip any time.
Yes and no。现在已经没有传统意义上的pip了（就是之前签个什么协议保证在未来一个月能做出什么东西之类的）
ReplyDelete约ERBP已经意味着你在被manage out的路上了。这段时间只是在collect 需要的材料保证到时候terminate employment有理有据不怕你告。

1 花钱请心理医生 给自己开个条 请3个月的FMLA
2 LC
会有个timeline的，在x月x日前做完x项目。一般不超过两个月，然后基本在这个due的两周前跟你说一些不meet expectation的理由 说要terminate。你可以扯扯皮把terminate往后推推，但最多也就一两周。

其实很多信息你和ERBP 约个1:1就知道了. ERBP是跟公司和老板一伙的，他会帮老板说出不好意思说的话的。

我做为ic都觉得很多新来的啥都不会 既不culture fit也不技术fit
不过要怎么赶人走呢？
如果大规模layoff，那等perm的人最惨。不管是否被裁，都是坏消息。对我是好消息，
早就干不动了，如果给4-6个月工资我甚至愿意报名被裁。
如果是搞亚麻pip那种，那我觉得大部分人不用担心。毕竟不能放着mm不管，把ma ee裁
了吧？ 对我来说pip还是比较远的…而且pip可能没有裁员包裹。
我现在就看上那个裁员包裹了。不被裁永远没动力刷题，ddia永远看不完。

ReplyDelete- PIP: 既然是叫 "performance improvement program" 了, 那这就是个有一段时间的 program, 而不是马上开了你. 而且做好了也有机会留下..1point3acres
- PTO: 基本都是离职的时候按 你攒下来的 小时数 * 你的时薪 给你发钱.
- parental leave: 这个除非你真的就在生小孩, 否则不能用 (也不能假装在生小孩请, 至少是违反合约, 不知道法定的算不算违法), 也不会给赔偿. 同理 sick leave days, family care days, covid days, 等等.. 1point3acres
- lay off 和 fire 的情况就是具体情况, 具体公司了. 就算同一个公司, 去年 lay off 的方案也可能和今年 lay off 不一样. fire 的就更是每个人都可能不一样 (根据原因和情节).
Lay off 是立马执行，但是pip 是不是一般都会给一两个月shxt project 让你做一下？
ReplyDelete这不是明显的cutting cost么，之前想通过attrition走人，结果发现员工都不走，只能pip走人了，layoff是不会有的。
