Fuel Program King Soopers


  • How does the fuel program work?

    The fuel program allows you to receive savings of up to $1 off per gallon on fuel purchases at King Soopers, Loaf 'N Jug Fuel Centers or participating Shell Stations. You may redeem 100 fuel points at participating Shell Stations. for a 10¢ off per gallon savings. And you may redeem up to 1,000 fuel points in a single fill-up at King Soopers, for up to $1 off per gallon. For each increment of 100 fuel points redeemed at King Soopers or Loaf 'N Jug, 10¢ off per gallon will be awarded. Program discount is good for one purchase of fuel, up to 35 gallons. Credit and debit card fraud prevention policies may limit transaction at the dispenser. Offer cannot be combined with any other discounts.
    For example:
    • 100 fuel points = 10¢ off per gallon of fuel for 1 fill-up at participating Shell Stations.
    • 100 fuel points = 10¢ off per gallon of fuel for 1 fill-up at King Soopers or Loaf 'N Jug.
    • 200 fuel points = 20¢ off per gallon of fuel for 1 fill-up at King Soopers or Loaf 'N Jug.
    • 1,000 fuel points = $1 off per gallon of fuel for 1 fill-up at King Soopers or Loaf 'N Jug.


  • How do I earn fuel points?

    There are three easy ways to earn fuel points in King Soopers stores and Loaf 'N Jug every day:
    1. Spending on Groceries (normal exclusions apply): $1 in Groceries = 1 fuel point.
    2. Double fuel points for Gift Card purchases (normal exclusions apply). For example, $25 in Gift Cards = 50 fuel points.
    3. Non-federally funded Prescriptions: 1 Prescription = 50 fuel points. a. As of August 1, 2012, federally funded Prescriptions earn 1 point for every $1 of your out-of-pocket costs for new, transferred and refilled Prescriptions.
  • Do Gift Card purchases count toward fuel points?

    Yes. Gift Card purchases count 2X toward your fuel points monthly balance, with the exception of King Soopers and Kroger Family of Stores Gift Cards, Green Dot prepaid reloadable products, MoneyPaks, American Express Variable Load Gift Cards, Visa Variable Load Gift Cards, and MasterCard Variable Load Gift Cards.   • Is there a limit to how many fuel points I can earn?

    No, there is not a limit on the number of fuel points you can earn.
  • How do I use my fuel points at a King Soopers or Loaf 'N Jug fuel pump?

    To use your points at a King Soopers Fuel Center or Loaf 'N Jug, simply scan your King Soopers SooperCard under the card scan or key in your Alt-Id on the key pad. After presenting form of payment, you will be prompted to answer how you would like your discount applied if you have more than 100 fuel points in either this month’s balance or last month’s balance.
  • How does the process at the Shell pump work?

    1. If paying inside, see cashier BEFORE inserting your King Soopers SooperCard.
    2. BEFORE you insert your payment card, follow the screen prompts to initiate the King Soopers discount process.
    3. Insert your King Soopers SooperCard, or manually enter your alternate ID or your King Soopers SooperCard number found on the back of your King Soopers SooperCard, your 1-2-3 REWARDS® Visa® Card or key fob.
    4. Select your form of payment and fuel grade.
    5. Save up to 10¢ off per gallon up to a maximum of 35 gallons of fuel on a single purchase. Credit and debit card fraud prevention policies may limit transactions at the dispenser.
  • I scan my King Soopers SooperCard at King Soopers stores. Why can’t I scan it at Shell Stations?

    Shell Stations fuel dispensers don’t have scanning technology. To get the discount, either insert your large King Soopers SooperCard or enter your number found on the back of your card or key fob. You can also enter your alternate ID. Remember, your alternate ID and/or phone number must be registered with King Soopers in order for them to work properly.
  • Can I choose not to use my discount at the fuel pump?

    Yes. Here’s how you can save your discount for later.
    Shell Stations - If you do not want to use your savings at the fuel pump, do not insert your King Soopers SooperCard when purchasing fuel.
    At King Soopers and Loaf 'N Jug - Select option 3 when prompted for discount options at the pump, and your fuel points will remain on your King Soopers SooperCard for future use.
  • Can I choose my discount at Shell Stations?

    No. At participating Shell Stations you can only use 100 fuel points at a time.
  • Can I choose to use part of my points at the King Soopers fuel pump?

    At King Soopers Fuel Centers and Loaf N' Jug, to use a piece of your discount, simply select option 2 (CHANGE AMT) and enter in the amount you wish to use today. Points will come from your prior month’s earnings first if the balance is greater than 100 and the amount entered is available. Otherwise the amount will come from what you have accumulated for this month.
  • Can I choose to use part of my points at the King Soopers fuel pump?

    At King Soopers Fuel Centers, to use a piece of your discount, simply select option 2 (CHANGE AMT) and enter in the amount you wish to use today. Points will come from your prior month’s earnings first if the balance is greater than 100 and the amount entered is available. Otherwise the amount will come from what you have accumulated for this month.
  • How long do I have to use my fuel points?

    Fuel points earned in a given month are available for use through the end of the following calendar month. Points do not combine across months. When filling up at a King Soopers Fuel Center or Loaf 'N Jug, you’ll always be offered the biggest discount available, based on each month’s fuel point totals available in your account. For example, if you have 200 unredeemed fuel points from January and 300 fuel points in February, the 30¢ per gallon discount from February will be offered on your next fill-up. The 20¢ per gallon discount from January will be available through the end of February. At participating Shell Stations you will only be offered 10¢ off per gallon and redeem 100 fuel points.
  • Can I choose to use my older points first?

    At King Soopers Fuel Centers and Loaf 'N Jug, to use point amounts greater than 100 from prior month's fuel total, simply select option 2 (CHANGE AMT) when prompted. Enter in an amount equal to or lower than your prior month's total (savings amount displayed will be greatest amount you can save when filling up). For example, if you have 200 unredeemed fuel points from January and 300 fuel points in February, the display will show that you can save 30¢ per gallon. However, if you change the amount to 20¢, these will come from your January total, leaving you 300 points from your February total. Amounts will come from prior month's total first if available. Amounts entered greater than what is available will round down, taking the highest amount.
  • Is there a limit to how many fuel points a Customer can redeem at once?

    There is a limit of 100 fuel points that can be redeemed in a single fuel fill-up at participating Shell Stations. However, up to 1,000 fuel points can be redeemed for up to $1 off per gallon at King Soopers Fuel Centers and Loaf 'N Jug in a single transaction. Fuel savings are limited to a single purchase of up to 35 gallons of fuel. Credit and debit card fraud prevention policies may limit transactions at the dispenser. Offer can't be combined with any other discounts.
  • Do I receive additional fuel savings with the 1-2-3 REWARDS® Visa® Card?

    Yes. At King Soopers Fuel Centers and Loaf 'N Jug, new cardholders will receive an additional 25¢ per gallon for the first 3 months after approval, for every fill-up, when redeeming at least 100 fuel points and paying with the 1-2-3 REWARDS® Visa® Card*.. After the first 3 months, 1-2-3 REWARDS® Visa® Card cardholders will receive an extra 5¢ per gallon when redeeming 100 or more fuel points and paying with the 1-2-3 REWARDS® Visa® Card.
  • Does the 1-2-3 REWARDS® Visa® Card give additional discounts on fuel at Shell Stations?

    You can pay with your 1-2-3 REWARDS® Visa® Card. However, the extra 5¢ per gallon is only available at BannerSiteShortName Fuel Centers and Loaf 'N Jug when redeeming points and paying with 1-2-3 REWARDS® Visa® Card. To redeem points for fuel savings at Shell Stations, card holders can enter the card number on the back of their 1-2-3 REWARDS® Visa® Card.
  • How do I keep track of my fuel points?

    Your current fuel points balance is located at the bottom of your King Soopers receipt. You may also check your points balance on our website or on the King Soopers mobile app for your iPhone or Android device by registering your King Soopers SooperCard number.
