你这里几点都说得不准确。

1,绝大多数工作的背景调查根本不查民事庭的记录。"任何背景调查都没法过的"太夸
张了。

Civil checks will usually matter in these areas:
- Certain positions that require state and/or federal licensing
- Certain positions in the banking, finance, and insurance industries that
may not need a license, but are still privy to the financial information of
consumers
- Certain government positions requiring government clearance. Those checks
go through every aspect of your life for at least 10 years back and the
paperwork is insane.

2,民事庭和小额庭的判决都会显示在信用报告上。会对租房或贷款有一定不利影响,
但影响有限。而且LZ有一些办法补救。

Small claims decisions (judgments) are public information and could appear
on your credit report, affecting your credit rating. The laws controlling
Consumer Credit Reports are contained in C.G.S. § 36a-695 and the statutes
that follow it. If you need documentation to dispute an item on your credit
report with the Consumer Credit Reporting Agency, you may get copies from
the court file in your case for a fee of $1.00 per page at the Centralized
Small Claims office.

3,美国法律诉讼周期都比较长。很多州中间会有法庭出面的调停,也会给LZ机会
answer。LZ没必要现在就完全妥协,可以和对方谈只付清洁费。对方不同意就往下走。
这种小案子很多都走不到法官判决那一步就和解的。你部分妥协后,对方律师还坚持只
会对自己不利。

具体也看LZ时间和精力。

个人意见:

是给据自己的时间和止损阈值来决定:

1.先尝试付清理费用和解,毕竟在清理方面你的把握不大,索要对方的清理收据。
2.和解的同时通知对方撤诉,并提供你的有利证据(month by month lease,met
notification requirement)
3.估计对方看肉不多,搞下去也没有多少赚头会和解。
4.打官司未必是个坏事,要打就自己琢磨着打,也是个花钱学习的过程。就当你自费去
参加training
5.输了,也不是世界末日。你也未必要马上付清对方的钱,可以搞个payment plan 慢
慢还。
6.其实对于我们半路出家到美国的,有很多的要学习,如文化,法律。
7.其他网站也有律师方面的咨询,可以发帖子恶补一下,有些高手会给支招的。
8. 你现在的情况就和小时候“小马过河的故事一样”劝你交钱的都是小松鼠,“告诉
你过河就淹死”,告诉你自己打的都是老黄牛,“没事水才到我脚脖子”
9.自己作决定。“妈的,老子陪你玩一把,鹿死谁手不一定”
