每個人都有被老闆破口大罵的經驗,如果你依然對工作懷有高度熱忱,不打算離職,該如何聰明應對,修復彼此關係、也修復內心情緒?
「你是豬啊,這麼簡單的東西都不會做!」、「寫這什麼報告?公司請你來混吃等死嗎?」「啪」的一聲,結案報告以45度拋物線飛出,不偏不倚地進入垃圾筒中。而面前的上司怒火正熾,眼看祖宗八代都快被他罵盡。
職場中這種習慣以謾罵為溝通方式的「低EQ」上司,並不在少數,這也是一般人工作中最直接的壓力來源。
暢 銷書《EQ》作者丹尼爾.高曼(Daniel Goleman)提出情緒商數(EI, Emotional Intelligence)概念,指出情緒管理有4個階段:自我察覺(self-awareness)、自我管理(self-management)、社 會察覺(social-awareness)到關係管理(relationship management)。
鉅微管理顧問公司協理范淑婷指出,主管通常需要做到第3和第4階段,亦即在管理自己情緒之外,也要管理部屬的情緒,「但很多台灣的主管,連自我情緒管理的第1和第2階段都沒有處理好,」范淑婷觀察。
作為主管的,理應對部屬互信互讓,試著接近部屬,不過《上司是麻吉,工作更順利》一書作者本間正人卻認為,上司要處理的事情遠多過部屬,應該由部屬主動,比較容易扭轉彼此的相處。
「畢竟我們所要面對的,無非是上司一個人,但改從上司立場來看,部門主管幾乎都有兩人以上的部屬。」「以一對多」的現實令很多主管即使意識到自己脾氣不好,也未必有多餘心力處理。
