标普500股息经典(
The S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats)指数由具有以下特征的股票构成：

* 是当前标普500(the S&P 500)指数成员
* 股息至少连续增长了25年。

标普500股息经典指数是真正能衡量蓝筹公司业绩的指数。鉴于在过去25年中，有几次经济衰退和战争，只有出类拔萃的蓝筹公司才能上这个指数。只有具有强大的竞争优势的公司才有能力保持股息连续增长这么长时间。
